One of my bestest friends celebrated her birthday over the weekend and she is a crazy good cook that loves to play in the kitchen. So when I saw this charming cookbook by model turned chef, Sophie Dahl, I knew I had found the perfect gift. "Miss Dahl's Voluptuous Delights" is full of simple yet tasty recipes and lovely photos. Turns out the British Miss Dahl also has or had her own cooking show on the BBC which I found some clips of and was instantly smitten. She just draws you into her kitchen with her cute accent and you feel like your hanging out with your best girlfriend who refuses to count calories!! Heaven.

I've always adored Sophie Dahl from when she first appeared on the catwalk. I remember this TV series, was great.
ReplyDeleteYay, Sophie! I adore her and I adored The Delicious Miss Dahl for exactly the reasons you mentioned. She has such a fun personality, and I love how she waxes poetic about the moods each episode is based on. I was so heartbroken when the show was canceled. If I could get it on DVD I'd probably watch it over and over every day. :)
ReplyDeleteah love it x
ReplyDeleteGosh that is SO clever, using magazine pages as wrapping paper! I'll have to steal that idea (thank you)! ps I am so jealous that you have NO need for wellies because you're in LA. I once shared a house in Paris with some girls from LA and they were so excited to HAVE TO buy winter coats - I couldn't believe it. Girl, you are lucky that you don't have to face the harsh European winters!
ReplyDeleteI really love Sophie...That is such a great post:)
ReplyDeleteKisses and have a great day...Love your blog!
Kisses
ps: I am hosting a great GIVEAWAY, so please join in:)
What an adorable and beautifully wrapped present! I know your friend will love it for years to come.
ReplyDeleteWow what a great present!! I will have to see if they play that show on the American BBC channel :D :D
